Sermons by Rev. Karen Stoyanoff
How to love the unlovable, opening ourselves up to be hurt, and practicing perfection in imperfection. -Rev. Dr. Karen Stoyanoff, Minister Emerita
OCUUC and our sibling churches in Orange County celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of our faith tradition! Various ministers, including Rev. Sian, speaking.
We are living in trying, even dangerous times and hate crime has sky-rocketed in the past months. There is only one constructive response to difficult times, hatred, and restrictions and that is love. Today’s service invites us to ask “what would love do” as we work to build a brighter tomorrow.
The work of the church is essential – for ourselves and our communities.
This sermon will look at the ways we find to keep making the same mistakes over and over again in our own lives, as well as in society at large, and suggest some alternatives with a better chance at success.
