Orange Coast Unitarian Universalist Church proudly supports the LGBT community in the Orange County area. We are a “Welcoming Congregation”
We proudly and successfully include the needs of LGBT persons at every level of congregational life. This includes worship, programs, social occasions and rites of passage.
Not only do we fully incorporate the experiences of the LGBT community throughout all our programs, but we actively supporting LGBT groups in the local community. We proudly further the dialogue between bisexual, gay, lesbian, transgender, and heterosexual persons and to create deeper trust and sharing.
OCUUC supports the LGBT community by:
- Attending legislative developments and works to promote justice, freedom, and equality in the larger society.
- Speaking out when the rights of bisexual, gay, lesbian, and transgender people are at stake.
- Actively advertising and reaching out to those in the LGBT community who are looking for a center of acceptance and spiritual growth.
Our members are single and married, gay and straight, of various ethnicities, abilities and backgrounds. While located in Costa Mesa, we are a congregation whose members also come from surrounding communities throughout Orange County.
