According to our sanctuary architect Toni Pyjar from domusstudio, who is our primary liaison with the City of Costa Mesa, things have been moving along this week:
Planning
The new planner assigned to the project, Christopher Aldana, has communicated with us many times this week. I've found him to be very responsive and service-oriented. A much-deserved breath of fresh air from the planning dept.
He reviewed the site photometrics and the existing parking lighting passed entirely, except one area in the southwest corner of the parking lot, next to the residences. We asked the electrical engineer if the bulb wattage could be increased in one of the coachlights, but they are calculated using their highest possible wattage per fixture. The options there are to replace one coach light or add another in the parking lot.
Building Plan Check
We received all the plan check comments and forwarded them to the consultants for review and coordination.
We are calendaring Monday, Nov 21 to resubmit to the building dept.
We will also be able to provide a set to Hoffman Building for pricing at that time.
