Flourishing Together

Flourishing Together

The Soul Matters Theme for June is "Flourishing Together". Soul Matters is a monthly theme-based ministry used by many Unitarian Universalist Association congregations. We encourage you to flourish with us by participating in one of our summer music opportunities.

🎶 POP-UP CHOIR! 🎶
Ever wanted to sing with the choir… without joining the choir? Now’s your chance!

Here’s how it works:
- Show up Sunday morning
- Practice a simple song together a couple of times
- Sing during the service for the congregation

Come add your voice, meet new people, and help create something beautiful together. Pop-up choir begins June 21st. 9:15 AM call time.

🎶SUMMER QUARTET SINGING 🎶
This opportunity is for singers who are comfortable reading music and enjoy collaborating in a small ensemble setting. Quartets will meet during the summer, with singers gathering on Thursdays to work out harmonies, blend, and musical interpretation together.

🎶 DRUMMERS AND STRUMMERS 🎶
Drummers and Strummers will continue to meet the first and third Wednesdays of each month. Beginning strummers will learn basic chords. More experienced strummers will have bigger challenges like picking the melodies and playing chord inversions up the neck. Drummers will use a variety of percussion instruments and serve as our metronome. We need singers too. It's difficult to play an instrument and sing at the same time!

Susan Shaw and Steve Morihiro, both longtime choir members, are the Co-Directors of Music Ministries.
