I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who contributed to OCUUC’s Adopt-A-Family program through Share Ourselves over the holiday season. Whether you shopped, contributed, or helped wrap gifts, you were part of supporting our family of ten with gifts that will support them throughout the year. The biggest shout out goes to Judith Stamper who chose our family and worked in the collection facility at the Orange County Fairgrounds on the weekend before Christmas. The Adopt-A-Family program has been going on for 55 years and has served thousands of families in that time.
Recent statistics have shown that one in three families in Orange County live on an income that is at or below the poverty line. As we move out of the holidays and into 2025, we will continue to collect shelf stable contributions for the Share Ourselves Food Bank each Sunday in the courtyard.
Thank you for your ongoing generosity however it takes form in the world.
