You are invited for a day of empathic fasting. Representatives from several faith traditions will share the spiritual meaning and practice of fasting in their traditions, and we will also hear from OCRRN about local food insecurity. This “foodless luncheon” is an opportunity to reflect on compassion and solidarity with those who are forced to fast due to lack of food.
The meeting will take place in Daniels Hall at OCUUC.
Because no lunch will be served, there is no ticket cost for this event. Instead, we ask participants to bring shelf-stable food that will be donated to the OCRRN to support families in our community who lack reliable access to food.
