This week, we're discussing Chapter 13, "Of the Coming of John." Peggy will be moderating. Come ready with reflections and/or passages to share! We're also getting close to the end of this book, so it's a good time to order the next one. Next we'll be reading "Where Do We Go From Here: Chaos or Community?" by Martin Luther King, Jr.
Educating ourselves about the history and impact of racism in our country and in our lives is a step toward justice-making. Leadership of the discussion is shared among members. In February 2026, the Anti-Racism Reading Group began a new book, The Souls of Black Folk, by W.E.B. DuBois. Compelling and written less than forty years after the Civil War, it offers insights into the lived experiences of Black people as they navigated a changing country. New members are welcome.
