Vocal activist, songwriter, composer, choral conductor, and songleader extraordinaire Melanie DeMore will be here at OCUUC on Saturday, August 22nd, to lead 3 different sessions: Workshops from 10 am - noon and 1-3 pm and an evening sing-a-long starting at 7 pm.
These events are for our ENTIRE congregation. You can choose to attend any or all 3 of these events. Our recent guest speaker, Rev. Anne Hines, had this to say about Melanie: "She's incredible. And even if you don't want to sing and just want to come and listen to her and watch her, she is a wonderful storyteller as well as a singer. And she just exudes LOVE. It's just LOVE. And fun."
Melanie was once asked "What does it take to sing with you?" Her response was, "Do you breathe?"
Melanie leads all these events without sheet music or words on the screen; we just pay attention, listen, and sing along with Melanie. ALL are invited to join any or all of the sessions; Melanie will be leading different songs at each one.
To help us plan, please RSVP to MusicDirector@ocuuc.org and let us know which session(s) you plan to attend.
