UU Climate Justice Revival

UU Climate Justice Revival

September brings a special event to OCUUC and you’ll want to mark your calendar and make sure you don’t miss out. UU congregations across our country will be involved in the Climate Justice Revival developed by the UUA in order to renew our commitment to the planet, and we’re now “on the map” as a participating congregation which you can see at the Revival home page: https://www.uuclimatejustice.org/

I am proud to share that a strong team at OCUUC has come together to bring this event to you. Thank you to Katherine M. who leads the effort, and includes Peggy H., Maureen M., Paula P., Craig P. and Nina S. The following details come from our planning team and more specifics will be provided soon. - Kathleen McFarlin, President, Board of Trustees

Sep. 28, 2024 - Interactive workshops for all ages
Sep. 29, 2024 - Worship followed by an advocacy hour

This is an all-church and all-ages event. We will learn new frameworks at the intersection of climate and justice and have the chance to weave together the threads that have always linked our deepest commitments. The UU Climate Revival will equip UU congregations to enter into a new era of climate action—one that intentionally and faithfully breaks down silos and cultivates relationships that lead to flourishing collaborations that transform our congregations through climate justice. Have questions? Check out FAQs at https://www.uuclimatejustice.org/faqs.
