I want to extend gratitude to everyone who has supported Share Ourselves throughout my two years of internship at OCUUC. Together, we supported local youth by gathering school supplies and backpacks to underserved schools in the area. Share Ourselves provided Thanksgiving meal prep to over 500 families in Orange County and your contributions supported those efforts. Over the Christmas season, we were able to provide gifts and necessities to a family of 10 in the Adopt-A-Family program that served over 1200 families in 2024.
Thank you to all who contributed to helping these families thrive, whether it was by donating items, financial support, wrapping gifts, volunteering at distribution sites. It’s all important to assisting our underserved neighbors and reflects our UU value of generosity. Federal support for non-profit organizations has faced challenges in the past few months. My hope is that you will continue to support Share Ourselves in the future.
I’m having a hard time believing that my time in community with you all is coming to an end. It has been an honor and a blessing to serve as the intern minister at OCUUC for the past two years. I have learned so much from all of you and will take it forward into my ministry going forward. I plan to remain in the area and I’m sure I will see you out in the wider world of Unitarian Universalism. Thank you so much for everything. I will keep the memories of the past two years close to my heart.
Much love, Wendy
