How does anyone become a part of the OCUUC Community? How do we welcome and encourage them? Is it easy? Is it hard? There are lots of angles on these questions and even more answers. Rev. Sian and I are collaborating to offer a morning where we consider what all this means, learn about best practices, and move towards an action plan.
This is not a meeting for the whole congregation, just those who have ideas on how to grow and are willing to make it happen! On a certain level we want that to be the entire congregation, but we hope to focus this workshop on doing and come out with at least the start of a plan. If you are passionate about our UU Community and want to extend it to the larger world, please attend. We particularly want those who are currently participating in the membership process in any way and newer people (you do not have to be a member) who may have recently experienced our processes and have ideas for welcoming and engaging people.
