Words from Rev. Sian Wiltshire

Dear Members and Friends,

We are all blessed to be part of this beloved community as we come together, even virtually, in times of joy, sorrow, and uncertainty. Especially now, we need the love and support of our OCUUC community while we are living through the Covid-19 pandemic and face the challenges it will surely create in its aftermath.

This is the time of year when we think deeply about what this church means to us and renew our dedication to OCUUC through our annual pledges of financial support.  In order to maintain our spiritual home and loving community, we all need to give generously to the annual operating fund pledge drive for 2020-2021.

You may have already received a hard copy pledge packet sent via mail last weekend. If you are a Member of this church, we ask that you make a financial pledge, as generously as you are able, as part of your responsibility as a member.  If you are a Friend, we ask also for you to be willing to contribute generously to the financial health of the church.

Each of us plays an important role in ensuring that OCUUC remains vital and strong. Our gifts of time, talent, and treasure are needed to maintain the health of this wonderful community

In closing, as you decide how you will support the ministry of OCUUC, we hope you'll consider these words from the Sufi poet, Kabir:

You came into the world with fists closed and you go away with open palms. So, even while living stretch your hand open and give liberally.

In love,

Rev. Sian Wiltshire and
Debra Quam, President of the Board of Trustees
