Your First Visit

Directions

Located on a beautiful hilltop location in Costa Mesa (near Brookhurst and Hamilton), OCUUC can be easily reached using the map. Parking is in front of the church and the Viva Life Sciences lot next door. Handicap parking spaces are at the end of the church driveway.

Greeting

Located on our patio is the Welcome Table where you will be greeted warmly by a member of our community. Please fill out a Guest Information form, make a name tag, and pick up information about our congregation and Unitarian Universalism.

Service

Pick up an Order of Service with readings, hymn numbers, announcements and the upcoming calendar. Sit where you are most comfortable. Our services last about an hour and include opening words, visitor welcome, congregation and choir singing, an offering, and a sermon.

We hold two services on Sunday morning. The first is a more traditional, contemplative service that starts at 9:45 am. The second is a family-friendly, more energetic service that starts at 11:15 am. During the summer, we hold only one service at 10:30 am that combines elements of the two services.

After each service, everyone meets in the social hall or patios for coffee and conversation.

Patio tables have information about: social justice and adult programs, Religious Exploration for Children and Youth, the Young Adult Group. There is also a chance to browse the UU bookstore or purchase gift cards for many businesses at the Scrip table.
